At approximately 1630 hours on January 5th, Rescue Squad 8 was specialed to an apartment fire at 4427 Rena Road in Company 23's area. Units arrived to find a fire in a second floor apartment. Squad 8 arrived and performed Squad duties and overhaul. The fire was contained to the apartment of origin. Squad 8 went in service at about 1800 hours.
