Command - Chief 8B

Just after 0030 hours, units were dispatched for a house fire at 1214 Dunbar Oaks Drive in Co. 38's first due area. Engine 381 arrived on the scene and reported a large shed on fire with possible extension to the house. Engine 83, Rescue Squad 8 and Chief 8B arrived soon after and Engine 83 assisted 38 with extinguishment, while Squad 8 forced entry to the house to check for extension. The fire did extend to sides three and four, but was quickly extinguished. Chief 8B held the units from 38 and 8 for about an hour, while investigators tried to determine the cause, which was found to be careless smoking.
