During rush hour, Squad 8 was alerted for a report of a MVA with people trapped at the intersection of Central Avenue and Ritchie Road. Units arrived and found a car on top of another car with a female injuredin the top car. Squad 8 assisted Engine 333's crew in stabilizing the vehicles and removing the victim. Squad 8 cleared in 30 minutes.


After returning, Rescue Squad 8 was alerted for a report of a townhouse on fire near highmount Place in Co. 5's first due area. Engine 52 and Squad 8 arrived on the scene and found a large ex-military trailer that was being used both ofr strage and residence fully involved. Companies 5 and 8 quickly extinuished the fire and overhauled the structure. Squad 8 cleared in about 1 hour.
