Command - Emergency Operation Chief

About 0500 Rescue Squad 8 was alerted with other units for a reported townhouse on fire on Snowflower Blvd in Oxon Hill (Co. 42). Units arrived on the scene to find a row of townhouses under construction on fire, with extension to occupied townhouses . Due to the townhouses not being finished and the fact that part of them had already collapsed from the extreme heat conditions, exterior operations were initiated from the beginning. Units from PGFD and DCFD fought this blaze using master streams and ladder pipes. Squad 8 cleared the scene in a little over an hour.
