Company 8 lost power early on in the storm and for days operated by flashlight, manually operated bay doors, portable radios, and no station alerting system. Eventually, the portable generated was started and a cord run to the TV so that we could keep from going crazy and enjoy some football Saturday and Sunday between runs. About 1630 hours on Sunday, Company 8 had its power restored, and it never felt so good. Thanks to all the power companies and crews that were brought in from surrounding states to restore power to the millions of people that were left in the dark by Isabel. Your countless hours spent here driving and making sure we kept the Seat Pleasant tradition is to be commended and never forgotten. Although Brian was currently a member at Kentland 33, he was and always will be part of the Seat Pleasant family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family as they try to deal and come to terms with his death. Our condolences go out to the officers and members of Company 33 as they knew and enjoyed Brian as we did, and are equally saddened by this incident.
