January 11th - At 2030 hours Squad 8 and Ambulance 88 responded for a shooting at 325 Carmody Hills Dr. in Seat Pleasant. Units from Company 8 arrived to find a male shot in the groin area after a robbery. The patient was transported Priority 1 to PG Trauma Center.

December 29th - Squad on 33 House Fire

December 19th - Just after 2230 Hrs firemen in Station 8 heard a gunshot and soon after were dispatched for a shooting behind the firehouse. The shooting involved the police department, and Squad 8 arrived to find a female shot once in the head. A389 and M46 arrived soon after and the patient was quickly transported to PGTC as a Priority 1. Squad 8 cleared in about 30 minutes.

December 11th - Squad on 2nd Alarm Townhouse Fire

December 10th - Around 0230 Hours Amb 88, Engine 372, and Medic 46 responded for a shooting at a local nightclub on Ritchie Rd. Units arrived to find a male shot in the chest. The patient was quickly loaded into A88 with M46 on board and the patient was quickly transported to PGTC. During transport, the patient's condition worsened and it was discovered he had been shot at least 4 times in the upper body. Upon arrival at PGTC, the patient coded and CPR was initiated. Despite the efforts of the trauma team and the crews from A88 and M46 the patient was pronounced dead a short time later.

November 24th - At 0103 Hrs Squad 8 and Ambulance 88, along with Chief 8 responded for a reported shooting at 5702 MLK Hwy on the DC Line. Units arrived on scene with a male slumped over in the front passenger area of a car, and another male shot in the leg, upon removing the patient in the car, it was found that he had no pulse, and CPR was started. The patient was transported to PG Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead from more than 10 GSW's to the upper body.
November 23rd - Just after midnight Rescue Squad 8 was alerted for a reported house fire at 2412 Greeley Place. Squad 8 arrived on scene shortly after units from Co. 33 to find a structure on fire to the rear of 2412. Rescue Squad 8 was assigned RIC duties and cleared the scene in under a half hour.
November 22 - Shortly after 2200 Hrs Co. 8 was dispatched for a reported townhouse on fire 1402 Karen Blvd. Engine 83 arrived with fire showing from the second floor of the townhouse. Crews from 83 advanced two attack lines to the second floor making a quick knock of the fire. Company 8 remained on scene for a little over an hour. No Firefighters were injured, however the occupant of the house was transported to the hospital for treatment of second degree burns.
