Engine 82 ends day with small first due fire

     

Sunday, May 13, 2012 2345 Hours Engine 82 was alerted to 6502 G St, in Seat Pleasant, for an outside fire.  While pulling out of the station, PSC advised the crew they were upgrading it to a house fire.  Engine 82 arrived about a minute later and found smoke and fire in the rear of the house.  The crew advanced the bumper line and found an outside set of stairs and small deck area on fire along with the siding on the back of the house.  The crew from 8 quickly knocked the fire while TW33 opened up the rear of the house looking for extension.  The fire was extinguished and the assignment scaled back to 8 and 33.  Engine 82 picked up and returned in about 90 minutes after a wet down and assisting investigations
