Monday, June 25, 2012  At 1833 hours Engine 82 and Ambulance 88 were alerted to 5701 Martin Luther King Hwy, in Seat Pleasant, for an accident. While enroute to the call it was updated that a motorcycle had hit a pedestrian at a high rate of speed and then hit a fire hydrant. Units from 8 arrived to find two victims, one of which was a trauma code. Crews split up and started treating both trauma victims. The trauma code was quickly loaded and taken to a local trauma center by Ambulance 88 and a medic unit as additional EMS units transported the other trauma victim. Engine 82 cleared in about an hour and the ambulance in just over 2 hours.
