On Thursday 6/28 units were dispatched to 1501 Cabin Branch Dr, in Company 38's area, for a building collapse. Units arrived to find a large warehouse that had partially collapsed with significant damage causing instability throughout the rest of the structure. It was soon decided one worker was still missing and rescue operations were started. About 0030 ours, 3 hours into the incident, Engine 82 was called to assist in the operations. The crew operated for 4 hours before returning home. Rescue operations lasted several more days and Engine 82 made another appearance to assist early morning on July 1st for a few hours. Shortly after the crew left, the body of the worker was found. Later in the night, Ambulance 88 was alerted to fire station 46 for a drive up stabbing victim. A chief officer from 46 stayed with the victim until EMS units arrived. Ambulance 88 and PA38 treated and transported a young female suffering from 3 stab wounds to a local trauma center.
