Still reeling from no power in many areas as well as more than a week of temperatures in the 90s and 100s, it was inevitable that the company would be busy. Due to the removal of career personnel because of the holiday, the single engine and ambulance staffed by volunteers answered 33 runs in the 24 hour period ranging from sick people to brush fires as well as a few street and box alarms. No major incidents and crews, well at least the engine crew (sorry 88), got to enjoy some of the local fireworks at MLK and Eastern Ave between runs like we do every year. We hope everyone enjoyed their holiday.
