Monday, July 9, 2012 At 1019 hours Engine 82 was alerted 2nd due to 6614 Foster St, in Company 26's area, for a house fire.  E26 arrived to find smoke showing from the roof as a result of the electrical lines going into the house burning.  The crew from 8 picked up the supply line then advanced a back up line to the house as crews waited for PEPCO to arrive and cut the power so that the fire could be extinguished.  Once that was done the fire was indeed extinguished and crews checked for hot spots and extension.  Engine 82 picked up and returned in 90 minutes.
