At 1727 hours Engine 82 was dispatched 4th due to 5511 Auth Rd, in Company 29's area, for a working house fire. USPP Eagle helicopter called it in as they were overhead with fire showing from a house. It wasn't long after that that the crew from 8 could see the header while enroute. E29 arrived with heavy fire conditions from the house and advanced a line. Soon after, live wires came down blocking the street as Engine 82 came into the block which was opposite of the 3rd due engine. With a little ingenuity and the help of a bystander, Engine 8 was able to maneuver through a yard and a rock wall (after a quick disassemble) avoiding the power lines and made their way to 27's layout. The crew advanced a line off E29 to the rear, forced the basement door and made entry. With no extension they made their way to the first floor and assisted with hot spots and eventually the attic to hit some fire there. The fire was extinguished and crews went through rehab and picked up. Engine 82 returned to service in just over 2 hours.
