VOLUNTEERS WANTED
Seat Pleasant is looking for volunteers to assist with staffing at the station. If you have free time to give and already have previous experience in another department, Seat Pleasant could be a good fit for you. Currently we are responsible for staffing (except for the ambulance**) everyday from 1500 to 0700 the next morning and then every weekend from 1500 hours Friday until 0700 Monday morning. Recently due to the budget, our career personnel have been removed on holidays altogether making volunteers responsible for staffing everything during the 24 hour period. In addition, our call load has increased due to the removal of career personnel at neighboring stations essentially making our first due larger. If you think you may be interested, please attend one of our application sessions for more information. We look forward to hearing from you.

Applicants should bring the following items;

$5 application fee payable in cash or money order

Current valid government ID

Social Security Card

ICS 100 & 700 (200 & 800 recommended)

All current fire/ems certifications/transcripts
All sessions are held in our community hall located at; 6305 Addison Road, Capitol Heights, MD 20743. Please use the side entrance.
